Parx Casino's expansion in the Pennsylvania gaming market took a significant step forward as the company announced the opening of a new casino and the approval to build a new hotel at their Bensalem location.
The announcements arrive as rumors swirl Parx Casino could sell their sports betting app to Fanatics, with money from the sale allowing the company to expand its gaming reach in Pennsylvania.
Parx Casino officially opened the 17th casino in Pennsylvania with the arrival of their mini-casino in Shippensburg on January 26th. The 73,000-square-foot location offers close to 550 machines for slots and 50 electronic table games for customers, similar to online blackjack.
After testing by the Pennsylvania Gaming Board, Parx Casino received approval to officially open the doors on their Shippensburg location.
